# Browse and manage SpaceMedia addons

> Learn how organization admins browse the SpaceMedia addon catalog, evaluate features, install, activate, deactivate, and manage billing for each addon.

# Addons Overview

Addons extend the SpaceMedia dashboard with optional capabilities that can be installed per organization. Some addons are free, some are one-time purchases, and some run as monthly subscriptions or trials.

## Admin workflow

| Step          | What happens                                                                                       |
| ------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Review        | Open the Addons page and compare the catalog entries available for your organization.              |
| Documentation | Read the addon documentation before installing or purchasing.                                      |
| Install       | Free addons activate immediately. Paid addons open secure checkout first.                          |
| Activate      | Active addons expose their dashboard pages, sidebar entries, and user-facing capabilities.         |
| Deactivate    | Deactivated addons keep historical data but remove their dashboard entry and block feature access. |

## Billing behavior

| Billing model | Admin behavior                                                                                                                               |

| Free          | Install and activate without checkout.                                                                                                       |
| One-time      | Pay once, then activate the addon for the organization.                                                                                      |
| Monthly       | Subscribe with a saved card and keep access while the license is active.                                                                     |
| Trial         | Start with card authorization, see the first charge date before confirming, and convert automatically unless canceled before the trial ends. |

## Access rules

Addon pages only appear when the related addon is active for the organization. If an addon is deactivated, its sidebar entry disappears and direct page access is blocked by the dashboard access layer.

System users manage catalog availability, pricing, screenshots, documentation links, trial settings, and revenue visibility from the system addon area. Organization admins only see purchase, install, activation, deactivation, and operational controls for their own organization.
